World Challenge Team
fundraising dinner hosted at Kathmandu Restaurant
Monday 21st November 2005

Kathmandu Restaurant was host to the "World Challenge Team" fund-raising dinner on Monday 21st November 2005, raising money to finance an expedition of 14 people to India

 

The Organisers booked the restaurant for the evening, with a buffet meal of special Nepalese cuisine for 100 people. Kathmandu also contributed to the raffle prizes.

The food included Chicken Natapole, Lamb Kritipur, Allo Tarkari, and Dall, with pilau rice, cut vegetables and yoghurt. Kathmandu's excellent naan bread was also on the menu.

We were there to take the pictures - and also sample some of the food (it's just work, work, work!). It was all excellent, each dish contributing a different flavour. We were greedy and had a bit of each dish on our plates. The Lamb Kritipur was hotly zingy with tender, melt-in-the-mouth meat. The dall (lentils) was also lovely - if you've never tried it before, do so - it is a taste sensation more than you would believe lentils could be.
