We enjoyed an excellent Indian meal last night. The food was delicious (and so much). We both said that we were glad we chose Kathmandu.
The staff were excellent and so was the service. We will be back and this time we will try the Nepalese food. We would also recommend it to all of our friends. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.

Great Food!
From humble beginnings in a side street in Easton The Kathmandu Restaurant has truly grown into a Bristol landmark for good food.
Guaranteed a warm welcome together with fine surroundings and a real treat for the tastebuds. The secret is fresh quality ingredients put together the Nepalese way and one no other 'curry establishment' in Bristol can equal (believe me) why would I travel all the way from Downend passing numerous food outlets?
OK so you have to put your hand a little deeper into your pocket these days but 'WOW' well worth the trip - If only for the Sag Aloo & Chicken Buna! Fantastic I miss the old days but
one thing is for sure your still guaranteed a great take-away with more than enough food & perhaps a little left over for Lunch the following day! Thanks Kathmandu - Graham.
A lot is changing in Bristol around the water front but at Kathmandu you are still guaranteed a warm welcome and great tasting food.

Excellent Food
A dozen of us had a wonderful meal at Kathmandu last night. The Nepalese food suited me very well as I find the ghee in Indian food hard to digest. The food was so tasty, the flavours really came through well. All the food was presented beautifully and the service excellent. Also worth mentioning the lovely surroundings, this really is a top restaurant and I shall definitely return. best wishes.

Nepalese Dishes
We visited the Kathmandu on many occasions shortly after it opened, our girls (living in Bristol at that time) having recommended it. We went there for the top quality and beautifully prepared Indian dishes and have always appreciated the friendly welcome provided by Ashok and his team. On our penultimate visit, Ashok suggested we leave the selection to him, as we had always found the Indian dishes so good that we had never experienced his Nepalese specialities. Boy, are we glad we glad
we did!
The Lamb Kritipur, Chicken Natapole, Sea Bass Nani, Duck Makalu and Vegetable Tikka Masala, preceded by a wonderfully spiced platter of chicken, lamb, duck and different spiced kebabs to get us started was right up there with the very best food we have enjoyed, ever. If we compare this with your current Best Nepalese, the Gurkha Square in Fleet, Hampshire (another very good restaurant, by the way), the Kathmandu would win hands down! We're not surprised therefore to see
that the Kathmandu is fast establishing itself as one of the finest curry restaurants in the South West.

Chhoyla Lamb / Chicken
Well I have eaten at many restaurants in Bristol and I must say that if there is
any one out there that appreciates good food, then
get down to Kathmandu in Colston Street and try Chhoyla Lamb / Chicken with a
side salad, this dish is cooked in charcoal with ginger and garlic and served
in a 'hot' sizzler and tastes out of this world the service was excellent and
the atmosphere is a relaxed one I give it 10 out of 10.

To the Staff of Kathmandu

I would just like to thank you for my fantastic birthday meal on Thursday.
The food was fantastic, the service was wonderful and my surprise birthday
present was brilliant!
My friend who was next to me is a chef and he said that it was the best Indian food
(and Nepalese food) that he had ever tasted! Every dish was delicious and far above
the average curry in Bristol.
So once again I would like to thank you for your outstanding establishment and a
wonderful evening. I will certainly be recommending Kathmandu to others.
Best Wishes,
